Project
Within the framework of the third phase of the Tunisian Coastal Protection Programme (PPLT III) elaborated by the Agency for Coastal Protection and Development (APAL) and the Ministry of Local Affairs & Environment and co-financed by the German Federal Government; the area of Kantaoui South (from the southern jetty of the El Kantaoui marina to Oued El Hammam) is subject of a study for the protection of the coastline against coastal erosion. The Sousse Nord shoreline protection project includes the construction of breakwaters and beach nourishment as protection measures.
Kfw has commissioned SCET-Tunisie to carry out the environmental and social impact study of the project in compliance with the new World Bank procedures.
Our mission
- Environmental and social impact study in compliance with KfW guidelines and the new World Bank Framework ;
- Implementation of the social component as well as the public consultation process;
- Implementation of the Environmental and Social Commitment Framework Plan (ESFP) of the PPLT III Programme, which includes the protection and actions to be implemented by the Owner.
